I’ve been heading south to Portugal’s Algarve since the early 1990s and it never loses its appeal to me. It is such a year round warm and versatile region, equally adept and meeting the needs of walkers and foodies these days as it is its traditional markets of package tourists and golfers.
I’ve been to the Algarve more than a dozen times now and in recent years an October school holiday visit has become something of a McKelvie family tradition. On our last visit I penned a piece for The Scottish Sun showcasing some of the great family friendly things to do in the Algarve. I hope you enjoy it even as little as much as I enjoy visiting the Algarve!
