I love messing about on boats whether it be cruising the deep ocean blue on a cruise ship, or taking a yacht for a spin. It never occurred to me, though, that is was even possible to hire a boat and sail it right into the heart of Venice.
When I found you could with Le Boat I just had to do it. So I hooked up with another couple and we took our families for a family boating adventure. We got much more than we bargained for on an expedition that took us down sleepy rivers, across vast marshes and brought us into a world alive with all manner of birdlife and even otters. And then there was cruising into Venice itself.
