I’m a big fan of both motorhomes and the Scottish Highlands. Saying that it can be a bit too obvious these days just to haul around the Highlands along well trodden tourist routes like the massively successful North Coast 500. I recently picked up a motorhome (or campervan) in the Highland capital of Inverness and decided to do something very different instead.
We headed not further north, but south towards the Central Lowlands and then on to our intended target deep in the south in Dumfries and Galloway. We broke up the big drives south and back north, and also had plenty of time to enjoy the bountiful charms of this southern Scottish charmer.
I’d like to share those charms, and much more, with you now in my article on the trip for MMM Magazine, an ace mothorhome magazine – Britain’s best selling – I’ve written for before.
