I’ve cruised in many parts of the world, but sailing around Scotland is easily my greatest joy – with over 10% of Europe’s coastline and over 800 islands there is plenty to explore.
Over the last couple of decades I have headed out on the Firth of Clyde, out into the Hebrides and also to our Northern Isles in Shetland and Orkney, as well as navigating down the much less heralded east coast. In total now I’ve been on over 30 cruises around our world class oasis of wildlife, boat fresh seafood and epic scenery.
I’ve written about cruising in Scotland for myriad magazines, newspapers and book publishers. I’ve also done a lot of work online. I really enjoying writing for Quirky Cruise as they love the same type of small ship cruising that I’m especially drawn to.
