Slovenia & Scottish Cruising Features for the Telegraph

0

Throughout 2018 and into 2019 I’ve been doing quite a bit of work for the Telegraph. Below you’ll find two very different features on two very different destinations.

First up is a piece looking at cruising in UK waters. As you’d expect there is a strong focus on Scotland as the country sports over 800 islands and over 10% of Europe’s coastline.

Here I check out the new options in a field that is really booming, especially with small cruise ships taking up to a maximum of 12 passengers. Cruising with these companies offers an intimate experience a world away from the floating cities of the Caribbean.

Secondly there is an article on Lake Bled in Slovenia, a remarkable glacial lake that I first visited back in 1992 as the country emerged from its brief, but bitter war of independence from the old Yugoslavia.

The lake has become massively popular over the last few years and here in this travel news I look at the issues dredged up by this and what Lake Bled is doing to address them.

I’m working with a number of editors at the Telegraph at the moment so look out for much more from me in the paper.
