I’ve been travelling out to the Czech capital of Prague since the early 1990s and I’ve seen many changes over the years, some positive and some not so positive.
By the turn of the millennium the creative, nefarious spark that for me had defined much of the 1990s was in danger of being lost. I’m glad to report that over the last few years one district at least is showing a real energy and an engagingly raffish spirit a million miles from the Irish pubs of the centre. Welcome to Zizkov.
When Brussels Airlines asked me to share my experiences of Zizkov with their readers I was more than happy to share my love of this most special of Prague districts. If you make it out there I hope you can appreciate why I enjoy it so much too.
